About the Role
Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on accounting environment and brings strong AP/AR, reconciliation, and general accounting support experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment runs
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including billing, cash applications, and customer follow-up
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with journal entries and month-end close tasks
- Maintain G/L entries and supporting documentation
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
- Support payroll data entry or processing as needed
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience (AP, AR, or Accounting Specialist roles)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, lookups preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a temp-to-hire setting
