About the Role

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on accounting environment and brings strong AP/AR, reconciliation, and general accounting support experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment runs
• Manage Accounts Receivable, including billing, cash applications, and customer follow-up
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with journal entries and month-end close tasks
• Maintain G/L entries and supporting documentation
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
• Support payroll data entry or processing as needed
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience (AP, AR, or Accounting Specialist roles)
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, lookups preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a temp-to-hire setting
